7 Ways To Make Money As An eBay Middleman
#Business
Hey,
I want to use this medium to
wish all Nigerians over the world a Happy Independence. As you all know, Nigeria celebrated her
independence on 1st of October, and she is 56. But then despite the gloomy
economy situation in Nigeria, many business men are creating an opportunity for
themselves to make money, not minding the recession period that Nigeria is
witnessing today.
In the blog today, I’m going
to discuss how someone can make money by tapping into online business as an
eBay Middleman. The
strategy of acting as a middleman in the wholesale business has been
implemented by many entrepreneurs for a long time.
The idea
is to match buyers and sellers of wholesale products by acting as a
facilitator. Wholesale middlemen can make money by marking up the merchandise,
or by receiving commissions or referral fees.
The same
concept can be implemented in the eBay business. There are actually many ways
that you can make money as an eBay middleman, in addition to simply buying and
selling wholesale products.
The first
step is to understand that an eBay middleman is able to build a business because
there are needs in the marketplace those needs to be fulfilled. Either
those needs are currently not being met, or they are not being met in the best way
possible. There are situations where a solution might not be currently
available, or at least an ideal solution, but often needs are not met simply
because of a lack of information.
For
example, an eBay seller might be looking for someone to pack and ship his or her
orders but does not know about the existence of shipping stores like the UPS
stores. Or an eBay seller might need an advanced order tracking
software and is not satisfied with the available options for sale on the
market. An eBay middleman will seek to make money by addressing these types of
issues, as well as many other issues.
There are
many needs that eBay sellers will have in the process of running their online
auction businesses. Take a look at these 7 ways that can give you the potential
to make money as an eBay middleman. Please check any regulations that
might apply before implementing any strategy.
eBay Middleman Strategy #1
Provide wholesale products to
eBay sellers: You
would search for products that you feel can sell really well on eBay. You would
then contact eBay sellers and offer them those products.
You would
encourage sellers to purchase your products by showing them the research that
supports the sales potential of those products. You would make money by marking
up the products when you wholesale them to the sellers.
eBay Middleman Strategy #2
Introduce eBay businesses to
wholesale sources: Under
this strategy you would not actually buy and sell any products. Instead, you
would simply introduce sellers to sources of products that are, or can be,
popular on the giant auction site.
You would
make money by either receiving a finder's fee from the sellers, or receiving
commissions or finder's fees from the wholesale sources.
eBay Middleman Strategy #3
Search for software solutions that
can help eBay sellers efficiently run and expand their businesses: You might even consider contacting
software developers and having them create programs that directly address the
needs of sellers. You can then make money by becoming a distributor for
those software programs.
eBay Middleman Strategy #4
One of the challenges that eBay sellers
run into is having enough space to store their merchandise. You can
contact warehouses and offer to market their available space to eBay
sellers.
eBay Middleman Strategy #5
There are public warehouses that offer pick
and pack services: These public warehouses will receive merchandise
on behalf of online sellers, inventory their Products, and then fulfill and ship
their orders.
For example, an eBay seller might purchase a
pallet of brand name women's dresses. The pallet would be sent directly to the
public warehouse where its staff would check the inventory of the pallet.
The eBay
seller would then receive a list of the contents of the pallet. The seller
would then use inventory list to create his auction listings. Then as the
seller starts receiving purchases for those dresses, he would send those orders
to the public warehouse.
The staff
of the public warehouse would then pick out the dresses according to the orders
that they receive, and ship out the dresses directly to the customers.
An eBay
seller could literally run his business from anywhere since he would not have
to worry about receiving, storing, or shipping, the merchandise. As an
eBay middleman you could market the services of a public warehouse to eBay
sellers. You can receive a commission or referral fee from the public warehouse.
eBay Middleman Strategy #6
You can
provide referrals to professionals that eBay sellers will need in the process of
running their auction businesses, such as accountants, photographers, and
copywriters.
You would
make money by either being paid for the leads which you provide to the
professionals, or by receiving a referral fee.
eBay Middleman Strategy #7
You can
connect eBay sellers with liquidators that can purchase their unsold products. In
the course of running their auction businesses they will be left with products that
they cannot sell.
You can
introduce them to liquidators that will purchase their excess merchandise. You
can make money by receiving a finder's fee from the liquidator, or by receiving
a commission from the eBay seller based on the amount that the liquidator paid
him for his merchandise.

So I show them a video of myself getting paid over $500 for doing paid surveys to set the record straight once and for all.
