How to Use Latent Semantic Indexing to Generate Traffic
#LatentSemanticIndexing
Would you like your articles and blogs
to generate more
traffic? More traffic means more potential buyers — which means more
sales of your own products and services or the ones you are an affiliate to.
This means more commissions for you! If you want more commission then you need
to generate traffic.
In this post from Traffic
Travis, you will get to know how to use LSI keywords to help your
blogs and articles rank higher in Google. This would help you to use keywords
to generate traffic consistently.
What are LSI Keywords? A Brief
Overview
Google’s algorithm is designed to rank
engaging, informative content, and LSI keywords are an important part of how
they choose which content meets these criteria.
LSI is an acronym for “Latent
Semantic Indexing“. LSI keywords are secondary keywords related to a main
keyword. So if the main keyword was “sauce” some LSI keywords and phrases would
be cheese sauce, sauce mix, supermarkets, packets of sauce, ketchup, cans of
sauce, etc.
Google expects that if you write
an article about a main keyword (in this case, “sauce”) that a well-balanced
article about it would include secondary phrases related to it for the article
to be truly informative for the reader.
How to Use Google to Find LSI
Keywords for Free
1. You can use Google’s search bar to
find LSI keywords. Type in your main keyword and see what keywords/phrases
Google recommends. This is sometimes called “Google Suggest”.
2. Another strategy is to do a
Google search for your keyword. At the bottom of the page, Google has a
“Searches related to” section that lists closely related phrases/keywords to
search for instead.
3. You can also use Google’s
Keyword Planner tool. Type in your main keyword, and see what phrases/keywords
it recommends. These are good keywords to use in your article.
How to Include LSI Keywords in
Your Articles the Right Way
LSI keywords don’t have to include an
instance of your main keyword. For an article on “sauce” you could use related
LSI keywords like “measuring cups.” And don’t stuff your article with
keywords/phrases! Write an article that is interesting and engaging. Only use
keywords/phrases that flow naturally within the article and grammatically make
sense.
So remember: Your content
will rank higher on Google if it includes LSI keywords. You can use Google’s
search engine and its free Keyword Planner tool to find LSI keywords free. But
don’t stuff all of these keywords into your article. Use the LSI
keywords/phrases that flow naturally within the context of the article. Do
this, and watch your Google rankings soar!
