THE SECRETS OF A SIX-FIQURE BLOGGER

#Writer's life

You started a blog a couple days ago, a couple weeks ago, a couple years ago and it isn't doing anything for you. You thought blogging would be a fun way to write about something you're passionate about as well as make some money along the way.

So you started off on your merry jaunt with pep and zest, gleefully self-publishing and building what you hoped would be a resource for passion, publishing and profits.

Today, what I am going to basically do is to share with you secret of making tons of money writing posts for companies in the case of blog, or a copy for sales page on a web. Notably, there some of these companies that are in need of your services, by writing good contents and post on a blog or their website as the case may be.

First and foremost, you need to sign up with that company that will pay you. Do you know how much you can possibly make doing such online jobs? You answer is good as mine.

Below are some of the clients you can work for. (All you need to do is by signing up for these by clicking on the links and others that are not clickable. For those that are not clickable, just copy it and paste in your browser).

1. IZEA – this one is new, so jump on it now!!
3.  Sverve
5.   Linqia
8.   DoubleDutyDivas
9.   Cooperatize
10. Social Fabric
11. Blogher
12. Momitforward
14. PostJoint (they pay you to guest post on your blog)
15. Wendy’s Bloggers
16. MomCentral
19. Clever Girls
20. Pollinate Media

Now consider some ideas for you to make money blogging.

You can barter for free things.

I seriously can’t begin to tell you how many free things I have gotten since blogging (vacuum cleaners, clothing, toys for the kids, books galore, kitchen appliances, foods, etc…).  I actually usually get two of these things– one for me and one for a giveaway.  In return, I will post on social media. I am upfront about what I am willing to do and how I will share their product.

If I think that it is something that is not worth a post (I don’t want to clog my feed with ‘product’ posts or sound like a commercial), I will instead offer my package of $5 per media post.  Pinterest + Twitter + FB + Google = $20 in five minutes for me and their product is seen by more people than many other advertisements. Here is a post on how to get free things for your blog  (it works!)

How can I tell if I should charge or share for free?

If I am contacted by a company directly and they offer a product: -If the product is valued at over a certain amount of money (maybe a vacation or a great vacuum that I’ve been wanting), I will post about it for free, if I really believe in it. You need to set your own limit for this. If it is something that I do not really “need”, I will ask for monetary compensation on top of the product. If I can use a recipe or something from the product (ex: book), I will post about it for free, using their idea, because they are really supplying me with a post ~ I usually include an affiliate link for it.  (See an example of this here: Devotional activity using plays dough
I received this book for free, but she gave me permission to share on one of her ideas, from the book, as a post, so it was a win-win) If they contribute a guest post (with a link back to their page) that is relevant to my readers (and helpful!) and does not sound like a commercial, I will post it for free.

More ways to make money blogging:

Be a freelance writer!

One of my blogging friends is a ghost writer.  She is paid several hundreds of dollars per week to write content for OTHER bloggers.  She just goggles freelance companies and signs up to receive their emails with current jobs.

2. Apply for a sponsored post like you are applying for a job!

My most recent example of this is Sverve.  They recently posted a job and I thought that it would be really fun to do, so I applied for it and I was very honest.  I told them exactly why my post would be great and why it would benefit them to hire me (in the nicest way!)  You really have to sell yourself in the blogging world because you are working for you.  Show them your strengths!  You are amazing, so let them see that!  You are your own voice and if you don’t sell yourself… no one else is going to.

3. Do a favour!

Remember to help others out, too.  My blogging friends and I share things a lot for one another!  We will send an e-mail to each other saying “You should apply for this sponsored post!”  Or “You should contact this person- they were really helpful! "If you come across another blogger and you like what they have written, share their awesome post!
If you find a post similar to yours, tweet about how ‘great minds think alike!’. Maybe even talk to that blogger about how you can LINK UP to each other at the end of each post.

We do this a lot on our own blogs.    We will say “For part 2, visit…”Pin each other’s pins!  If I ever see my friends or any of my other blogging friend’s pins on pinterest, I re-pin them.  I am happy to do this!   I want them to succeed just like we want you to succeed!  The more that we help each other, the better we shall be! Remember, even new bloggers can earn enough to help support their families!

I hope you all the resources that I've given above, if you can utilize them fully, it will be to your greater advantage. If you do, let me hear from you. Thanks!
