Know your Target Online Audience
Your marketing strategy will never be successful if you do not have a clearly defined audience. Before you spend money on marketing, first figure out your target. There’s no need to pay top dollar to hire a fancy market research firm. If you know your product, you should be able to figure out your audience yourself. For example, who will be most interested in your product? Is it Men or women? What is their age group? What are your customer’s interests? What is their financial situation?
Demographic Information: This may include age, gender, location, ethnic background, marital status, income, and more.
Psycho Graphic Information: This type of information goes beyond the “external” and identifies more about a customer’s psychology, interests, hobbies, values, attitudes, behaviors, lifestyle, and more.

For this example we are going to use online accounting software for small businesses. The company manages business expenses and pay roll for small business. Below we will go through the target audience of this example.  Your result may be different so tailor the chart below to your business and prospect.

They live in the United States and speak English.  They make between $70,000 – $100,000 a year and are having problems managing experience, revenue, and paying bills. Their core value is perseverance and are highly motivated to take actions.(This is just an example.)
