5 Simple Ways to Really Attract More Shoppers


Do you remember the excitement you first felt when you first started your business?

That excitement was likely great, but there is one thing for certain, as your business continues on a day to day basis it is very easy to fall into a routine. Yes a routine is a great way to ensure that you can maintain the business in the long run, but a set routine isn’t what brings in new shoppers to your store or website. If you want to attract new customers, I would recommend that you try out the following five strategies.

Strategy #1
Ask your current customers for referrals. Think about it, the average person knows at least 40-50 people. Those people can include their relatives, friends, coworkers, as well as people they encounter in their daily routines, such as the cashier at their local grocery store, their car mechanic, the employees at the local bakery, etc. Imagine if you could get each one of your customers to tell everyone that they know about your business. So how can you do that? Give them an incentive to do so! You can give them bonuses, discounts, special promotions, etc.

Strategy #2
Trade business cards with local businesses. Simply visit stores in your neighborhood and place business cards at their location in exchange for displaying their business cards at your location.

Strategy #3
You can also do this with websites by trading links on each other’s sites. Search online for websites that target the same customer that you do, provided that they are not your direct competitors ask them if they can feature your website on their website in exchange for you doing the same thing for them.

Strategy #4
Host an interesting lecture or arrange a community party at your store. The key is to make the event appealing enough for people to attend. Once they are at your store they can either shop by you right then, or return later on with their friends or relatives.

Strategy #5
If you have a website you can have free courses for visitors to encourage them to return to experience all your courses. Every time they visit your website you will have one more opportunity to make a sale.
